Overview

This privately owned hotel has a great location, just off the High Street in the centre of the village of Lyndhurst, a minute’s walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs.

Lyndhurst is the capital of the New Forest and is home to the national park’s main visitor centre and the museum and just a short stroll to open heath land and woodland.

The hotel has a variety of en suite rooms available, all of which have TVs, telephones and tea/coffee making facilities. There is also a comfortable lounge and a licensed bar. Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and a private car park offers complimentary parking for guests’ use.

Room information

The hotel has gradually evolved over time, from what were originally 2 private Victorian houses. As such, all of the rooms are individual in size and style, each with their own unique character and charm. Every room is beautifully appointed and well equipped, with all the modern comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base.

Area information

Lyndhurst is a small rural village developed in the 19th century, at the centre of the New Forest. The New Forest was originally named by William the Conqueror 9 centuries ago, when he designated the area as his new forest for hunting the royal deer. This precious area of English countryside still has over 200 square miles (520 km²) of ancient woodlands and wilderness heaths remaining largely intact.
